5/22/2017 Kyle Long, Chi, T
The Bears may shift Long to left guard -- a position he hasn't played since college -- for the 2017 season and flip veteran Josh Sitton to the right guard spot, sources told Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

Analysis: In 2015, the Bears moved Long to right tackle but last season the team moved him back to right guard. The 28-year-old Long is still rehabbing a right ankle injury suffered Nov. 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
5/19/2017 Ryan Fitzpatrick, TB, QB
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached an agreement with Fitzpatrick on Friday to serve as the backup to Jameis Winston.

Analysis: The deal is for one year and worth a reported $3 million that includes incentives to take the base salary higher. The 34-year-old Fitzpatrick has started 116 games over his 12 seasons in the NFL, including 27 the past two years with the New York Jets. He made $12 million last season. Fitzpatrick will be joining his seventh NFL team.
5/17/2017 Jason McCourty, Cle, CB
McCourty has signed a two-year contract with the Cleveland Browns.

Analysis: McCourty played the past eight seasons in Tennessee, starting 90 games for the Titans. The 5-foot-11 McCourty fills a major need for the Browns, who are thin in their secondary. He gives the team experience and depth. After being named a starting cornerback in 2011, McCourty led Tennessee during the past six seasons with 11 interceptions. Last season, he started 14 games and led the Titans defensive backs with 64 tackles.
5/17/2017 LeGarrette Blount, Phi, RB
Blount and the Eagles have agreed on a one-year contract.

Analysis: Blount led the NFL with 18 touchdowns rushing in 2016 while helping the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl. He ran for 1,161 yards, averaging 3.6 per carry. The deal gives Philadelphia a big, tough back to complement its group of smaller, speedy runners.
5/17/2017 Will Sutton, Min, DT
The Vikings have signed Sutton.

Analysis: Sutton joins the Vikings after spending the first three years of his career with the Bears, playing in 36 games with 18 starts and compiling 60 tackles. The 6-foot-1, 290-pound Sutton, a third-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Arizona State, was released by the Bears last week. In 2016, Sutton played in eight games before suffering a season-ending ankle injury.
5/16/2017 Deone Bucannon, Ari, LB
Bucannon has undergone ankle surgery to repair a lingering problem. Coach Bruce Arians said after Tuesday's first OTA session that "if everything goes perfect," Bucannon could be ready for the season opener Sept. 10 at Detroit. But Arians said there's always a chance he won't.

Analysis: Bucannon was selected as a safety in the first round out of Washington State in 2014. The Cardinals soon moved him to inside linebacker because of a need at that position and he's been there since. Bucannon led the team in tackles each of the last two seasons. He had 127 two seasons ago and 100 last year.
5/15/2017 Tre Boston, LAC, S
The Chargers signed Boston on Monday.

Analysis: Boston, who was released by Carolina earlier this month, recorded 108 tackles, 10 passes defended and three interceptions in three seasons with the Panthers.
5/15/2017 Eddie Lacy, Sea, RB
Lacy weighed in at 253 pounds Monday to earn a $55,000 bonus for being under his first target by two pounds.

Analysis: Lacy, who turns 27 next month, had an incentive to come in under 255 pounds in his first official weigh-in after struggling to maintain a proper weight with the Green Bay Packers. He signed a one-year deal in March and is set to make $5.5 million, with $3 million fully guaranteed. Lacy's contract with the Seahawks contains seven potential weight bonuses worth a total of $385,000, according to ESPN. The next weigh-in will be on June 12 and requires him to be at 250.
5/15/2017 Patrick Mahomes II, KC, QB
Mahomes II, the Kansas City Chiefs' top pick in last month's NFL Draft, was uninjured after being robbed in Texas.

Analysis: Mahomes, the former Texas Tech quarterback selected 10th overall after the Chiefs traded up in the first round, was back in his hometown of Tyler, Texas, when he was robbed on Friday night, according to the Smith County Sheriff's office. Deputies were dispatched at about 9:15 p.m. to a residence when they found Mahomes and three others who said they had been robbed by a man pretending to have a gun.
5/12/2017 Deshaun Watson, Hou, QB
The Texans signed Watson to a four-year contract worth $13.8 million, and the first-round pick will be available for Friday's start of rookie minicamp.

Analysis: The Texans traded the No. 25 pick in 2017 and next year's first-round selection to the Cleveland Browns to move up to the No. 12 spot to draft Watson out of Clemson. Watson likely will be groomed behind current starter Tom Savage this season. Savage and Watson will compete during organized team activities and training camp. Texans coach Bill O'Brien said recently he feels "comfortable" with Savage starting in 2017.
5/12/2017 Jarrad Davis, Det, LB
The Detroit Lions signed first-round pick Davis before the start of rookie minicamp on Friday.

Analysis: Davis, the 21st overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida, will get a slotted four-year contract worth about $10.4 million that includes a team option for the fifth year, according to the Detroit Free Press. The 6-foot-1, 238-pound Davis, who is expected to start at middle linebacker for the Lions this season, recorded 154 tackles and 5.5 sacks over the past two seasons at Florida.
5/11/2017 Eddie Royal, Chi, WR
The Chicago Bears released Royal on Thursday.

Analysis: Royal was limited to nine games in each of his two seasons in Chicago because of injuries after agreeing to a three-year deal in March 2015. He caught 33 passes for 369 yards in 2016 after finishing with 37 receptions for 238 yards and a TD in 2015. Royal has 408 catches for 4,357 yards and 28 touchdowns in nine seasons with Denver, San Diego and Chicago.
5/11/2017 Daryl Washington, Ari, LB
The Arizona Cardinals have released linebacker Daryl Washington, who had been reinstated by the NFL after three seasons away from the game.

Analysis: The team said in a statement that after meeting with Washington, "we have collectively decided it was best to release Daryl and give him an opportunity to continue his career elsewhere."
5/11/2017 Josh Gordon, Cle, WR
A person with knowledge of the decision tells The Associated Press that Gordon has been denied reinstatement by the NFL.

Analysis: Gordon has been suspended several times by the league, including the current ban for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He also was suspended for 10 games in 2014, then for the 2015 season, all for substance abuse violations.
5/8/2017 Dan Skuta, Chi, LB
Skuta signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears on Monday.

Analysis: Skuta, released by Jacksonville last month, has appeared in 112 games, including 26 with the Jaguars. Skuta signed a five-year contract worth $20.5 million in 2015 that included a little more than $8 million guaranteed. He totaled 55 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in two seasons in Jacksonville. His role was marginalized after the drafting of linebacker Myles Jack last year. Skuta previously played for San Francisco (2013-14) and Cincinnati (2009-12).

He owns 590 career rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 244 receiving yards and one TD over his career for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks and 49ers.
